A Healthy Sign
If you mention the word
said an Ohio State senator to me, Liberty
at Columbus,everybody gets frightened; they think you are talking Socialism or Anarchy!
This is a healthy sign. Time was when Liberty
was a word to conjure with; when every politician, every procurer of law-created privilege, proclaimed himself its champion. This change shows some analysis. Proceeding thus, they will discover the difference between Socialism and Anarchism.
But why get hysterical? Even when their victims shall also sense the true kinship of Liberty, the plutocratic law-makers will have no good reason for being frightened. For then the time shall dawn when even they will be able to get a comfortable living, honestly.
